Micah Price, Psy.D. is a Licensed Psychologist who has experience working in hospitals, cancer centers, multidisciplinary health clinics, and school systems. He specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing complex medical and mental health difficulties, as well as providing academic and professional coaching services. Dr. Price is a graduate of Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University (M.A. & Psy.D.) and Saint Leo University (B.A.). He completed his Residency at Broward General Medical Center and The Center for Personal Growth and his Internship at Broward General Medical Center/Chris Evert Children's Hospital as part of the Nova Southeastern University Consortium. Dr. Price's psychological services, include organ transplant evaluation, pre/post-surgical support, cognitive testing, and personality assessment and he has specialty training and experience working with individuals suffering from medical conditions, such as cancer, liver failure, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, HIV/AIDS, and renal insufficiency. Additonally, Dr. Price has significant background in providing support to those coping with anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, grief and loss, end of life issues, chronic pain, and assorted life challenges. Dr. Price provides Humanistic/Existential, Solutions-Oriented, Narrative, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies, but utilizes an integrative approach to match the therapeutic treatment to the specific cognitive and emotional needs of each person, couple, or family. |
