Kate Kominars, Ph.D. |
Dr. Kominars is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings. She is a graduate of St. Johns College (B.A.) and Temple University (M.Ed. & Ph.D.) and she completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Brief Psychotherapy at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Kominars areas of specialization include the treatment of anxiety and depression, substance abuse and dependency, chronic illness, sexual orientation and identity issues, working through grief/loss, as well as career and vocational issues. In addition, Dr. Kominars conducts vocational and psychological testing for adults to guide and support clinical intervention. Dr. Kominars has been teaching and training mental health clinicians for more than 10 years and has met Florida State requirements as a Licensure Supervisor. In addition to traditional psychotherapy, Dr. Kominars is an experienced personal and executive coach and has worked with small and mid-size corporations to improve interpersonal communication, problem-solving capabilities, and effective team work.
